bmurator Old school Swedish Melodic Death Metal. These guys are pumped with energy & deliver riff after stunning / catchy riff. Together they have a mix of fantastic vocals ranging from clean to death growls & female! Highly recommended! Favorite track: Her cold Embrace.

baudelagon Un très bon album bien condensé dont j'ai été fan après trois ou quatre écoutes. Difficile de ne pas taper du pied ou d'accompagner la batterie de hochements de tête (je le sais j'ai essayé)... Favorite track: At the Graves of Giants.

H.L. Looking for melodic death metal in best 90s tradition? If yes, check ABLAZE MY SORROW and quite likely you will have found what you are looking for. This wild-melodic album sounds fresh and energetic. It is rather catchy and varied, including growls, raspy and clean vocals, symphonic parts and different paces and moods between melancholy and aggression. Great! Favorite track: Black Waters.

SkunkBeatManiac Ablaze My Sorrow is back with the aggression of their heydays. Its impressive that their concept haven't changed since their 1st release. This album is packed with straight catchy riffs, blackened two-bass blasts and the self-loathing attitude. Recommended for people who like Nightrage.

steeplejack This is the very pinnacle of the band's work. The amount of great songs is staggering.
They don't experiment excessively, but what they do sticks forcefully in my mind. I can't single out a single best song, cause there's too much of them - The Cavernous Deep, Nonextence, Grit, Among Ashes and Monoliths and even Black waters have all set places in several of my playlists. This album hit me off guard, and it hit strong. One of the best in 2021 Favorite track: Nonexistence.

about

After four years of incubation, Swedish death metallers Ablaze My Sorrow have marked November 20th, 2020 as the date for their triumphant return. The new full length, entitled Among Ashes and Monoliths, will introduce new vocalist Jonas Udd, whose aggressive rasp fits the passionate band to perfection. The other four members return intact from prior releases. Still fresh sounding in 2020, the band presents us with an opus of impassioned self-reflection, once again tackling themes of depression and self-worth. Across twelve tracks, the band speak catharsis from experience, and the truth of their words are evident. An underrated gem, the Falkenberg quintet once again let their emotional style of Melodic Death Metal do the talking for them.
